Caterpillar Brazil is seeking a Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist to guide regulatory strategy for Latin America, focusing on Brazil. You will influence standards, support product teams with market access, and coordinate with external authorities and certification bodies.

The role requires in-depth regulatory knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and active CREA registration. On-site, Brazil-based, with travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on compliant product

Qualificações

  • Proficient in Portuguese and English, with basic Spanish.
  • Engineering degree with CREA registration or equivalent.
  • Experience in product regulations, standards, and certification.
  • Knowledge of engine emissions technologies and certification procedures.
  • Knowledge of product development methods and engineering techniques.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical leadership to regulatory bodies and standards organizations to influence regulations.
  • Serve as regional specialist with knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements for Caterpillar products.
  • Deliver expert analysis of market access requirements to product teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance in development and production.
  • Advise and support regional certification and influence new certification requirements.
  • Act as in-country certification liaison for Brazil to assist product groups with compliance.
  • Lead development and communication of regulatory requirements and compliance guidance.

With this role, you will be part of a global standards and regulations team that helps ensure market access for all Caterpillar products. This role requires extensive collaboration with teams internal to Caterpillar, as well as industry associations, standards development organizations, certification agencies, and regulatory bodies.
