Position Summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Technical Product Engineer – Employee Wellbeing & Enterprise Learning to join Corporate Business Technology. This hands‑on individual‑contributor role will support digital products and platforms serving Employee Health & Wellbeing and J&J Learn. The individual will partner with Product Owners, engineering and operations teams, architecture, experience design, cybersecurity, privacy, data teams, and external suppliers to translate business priorities into secure, scalable, supportable, and user‑centered solutions.

The role is responsible for hands‑on product execution across discovery, requirements, solution assessment, delivery coordination, testing, release readiness, operational support, and continuous improvement. It will help advance employee and administrator experiences across a diverse wellbeing and enterprise learning ecosystem while maintaining appropriate internal ownership of product decisions, documentation, controls, and institutional knowledge.

The ideal candidate combines digital product management discipline with strong technical and analytical capabilities, working in a lead role within a squad‑based model across high performing teams. The candidate should be comfortable working with mobile applications, platform integrations, data and analytics, automation, and emerging artificial intelligence capabilities, while applying responsible governance for employee‑facing technology and sensitive employee data.

Key Responsibilities

Product discovery and requirements

Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand wellbeing and learning priorities, user needs, business processes, regulatory considerations, and measurable outcomes.

Translate priorities into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data needs, integration requirements, test scenarios, release plans, and operational documentation.

Analyze current-state experiences and identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve accessibility and usability, reduce manual effort, and increase employee and administrator adoption.

Maintain well‑structured product backlogs and support prioritization by clearly communicating value, dependencies, effort, risk, and lifecycle impact.

Solution assessment and technical delivery

Evaluate solution options across approved enterprise platforms, mobile technologies, external vendor products, integrations, automation, data services, and custom capabilities.

Assess options based on user value, security, privacy, accessibility, scalability, performance, maintainability, supportability, cost, and long‑term lifecycle impact.

Coordinate technical design, configuration, development, integration, data mapping, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post‑production validation across internal and supplier teams.

Conduct impact assessments for platform releases, vendor changes, enterprise initiatives, new integrations, and changes to connected systems or business processes.

Promote reusable patterns, common capabilities, and platform synergies across Employee Wellbeing and Enterprise Learning products.

Partner with experience‑design and accessibility specialists to validate journeys, prototypes, content, and delivered functionality.

Support appropriate data integrations and reporting across wellbeing, learning, HR, identity, and vendor ecosystems.

Apply cybersecurity, privacy, data‑governance, records‑management, change‑management, segregation‑of‑duties, and least‑privilege requirements.

Maintain product requirements, process flows, decision records, data mappings, test evidence, release notes, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge articles.

AI and digital innovation

Maintain awareness of evolving artificial intelligence, large language model, intelligent‑agent, automation, mobile, and analytics capabilities relevant to wellbeing and learning products.

Participate in evaluations and proofs of concept that improve personalization, content discovery, support, administration, data quality, productivity, and employee experience.

Apply responsible‑AI principles, including privacy, security, transparency, appropriate data use, bias and risk assessment, testing, human oversight, and governance.

Clearly distinguish between currently available capabilities, roadmap concepts, and experimental solutions when making recommendations.

Collaboration and supplier management

Work effectively with global and cross‑functional teams across business, product, engineering, architecture, design, data, security, privacy, operations, and support.

Communicate product decisions, technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Partner with external suppliers while maintaining internal ownership of product direction, requirements, standards, documentation, operational readiness, and institutional knowledge.

Review supplier deliverables, service performance, roadmaps, and proposed solutions; identify unnecessary complexity, risk, cost, or long‑term dependency.

Share knowledge through documentation, demonstrations, reusable examples, product reviews, and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business technology, digital product management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of four years of professional experience supporting, delivering, or managing enterprise digital products, platforms, or applications.

Experience troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolution across applications, integrations, vendors, and support teams.

Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and liaison skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences in a multicultural environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, functions, suppliers, and time zones.

Sound judgment when working with sensitive employee, health, learning, and HR‑related data.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting global products in a regulated environment with formal privacy, cybersecurity, audit, accessibility, and change‑control obligations.

Experience conducting vendor evaluations, technical assessments, third‑party risk reviews, proofs of concept, and supplier performance reviews.
