A leading automotive aftermarket company is seeking a Tax Supervisor in São Luís, Brazil. The successful candidate will oversee the tax team, ensure compliance with Brazilian taxation, and manage both direct and indirect tax processes. This role requires proven experience with SAP, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various internal teams. The position offers a hybrid working model, with two days home office and three days on-site at Cotia Plant.

Qualificações

  • Proven experience with SAP, acting as a Key User or in a more advanced capacity.
  • Solid knowledge of indirect taxes including ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS / COFINS.
  • Experience in interpreting Brazilian taxation and reformulation.

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor. The Tax Supervisor is responsible for leading and guiding the regional tax team in best practices that support the organization’s fiscal accuracy, compliance, and strategic business objectives. This role oversees all activities related to indirect and direct tax calculation, compliance, reporting, and tax governance across the business.

The Tax Team is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Brazilian tax legislation, including the accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns, ancillary obligations, and tax reconciliations. This includes managing tax processes end-to-end, supporting audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders such as Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations.

The role requires ongoing monitoring of tax rule updates, supporting system implementations (including SAP), validating tax configurations, and ensuring accurate tax determination in all transactional flows. The Tax Supervisor regularly analyzes tax impacts, identifies opportunities for process improvements, and supports projects to optimize compliance, reduce risks, and drive efficiencies.

Responsibilities
  • Proven experience with SAP, acting as a Key User or in a more advanced capacity;
  • Active involvement and up-to-date knowledge of Tax Reform topics, including impacts and adjustments to tax processes;
  • Advanced English, with strong communication skills in global corporate environments;
  • Solid knowledge of indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS / COFINS), including legislation, calculations, and operational impacts;
  • Experience in reviewing monthly and periodic tax calculations;
  • Strong command of ancillary tax obligations, ensuring accurate submission and full tax compliance;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal areas (Accounting, Finance, Controllership, Legal) and external auditors;
  • Analytical skills and a systemic view to identify tax risks and propose process improvements;

Experience leading automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the tax area is considered a plus.

Training and supervising a team of 7 people.

2 day home office 3 on site ( Cotia Plant)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

Availability to travel.

Solid knowledge of Brazilian taxation and reformulation.

Proven experience in managing regional teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Advanced English ( Communication, report and support to another countries)
