Tax Specialist (Indirect Taxes & Systems)

The Impact You Will Make in This Role
- Serving as the technical reference for indirect taxes, including ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS, and withholding taxes.
- Performing tax configuration and maintenance within ERP systems, ensuring compliance with applicable tax legislation.
- Leading and supporting system implementations, enhancements, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validating tax rules related to electronic documents, including NF-e, NFS-e, and CT-e.
- Supporting ERP and tax system implementation, upgrade, and optimization initiatives.
- Acting as a liaison between IT, Accounting, Operations, and external consulting firms.
- Assessing the impact of legislative changes on systems and business processes.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- This role requires strong analytical capability, collaboration across functions, and the ability to operate in dynamic, project‑driven environments.
Your Skills and Experience
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Solid experience in Brazilian indirect taxation (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ICMS‑ST, CSRF, INSS, ISS, IRRF, CIDE).
- Hands‑on experience with: Mastersaf / TaxOne and SAP (ECC or S/4HANA), especially modules with tax interfaces.
- Experience in ERP implementation, migration, or restructuring projects.
- Experience with system testing, scenario design, and validation of tax rules.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and statutory reporting obligations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with global corporate support teams.
- Continuous monitoring of regulatory changes, including Brazilian Consumption Tax Reform developments.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with BPCS (Business Planning and Control System).
- Participation in tax transformation or tax reform projects.
- Knowledge of tax automation and system integrations.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Experience supporting LATAM tax systems and regional operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proactive and independent working style.
Location
Remote and Campinas‑SP (occasional on‑site meetings and project‑based presence).
