Job summary

Red-House-International-School in Uberlândia invites passionate educators to join our bilingual network. This full-time position supports students in English, Portuguese and Mathematics both inside and outside the classroom, under the Head Teacher's guidance. You will collaborate with teaching staff to deliver engaging activities and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Attending or graduated in Pedagogy.
• Experience in classroom context or English courses.
• Experience with Elementary Education.
• Proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to students who need to evolve in English, Portuguese and Mathematics, outside the classroom or in class as needed.
• Participate in the implementation of didactic-pedagogical projects by the school.
• Substitute for Teaching Assistants in the classroom when necessary.
• Decorate walls, doors, tables and bulletin boards around the school.
• Ensure safety, stay with students at all times, and monitor activity to prevent accidents.
• Receive students at the entrance and exit following safety protocols.
• Accompany students during meal times when necessary.
• Manage the class in times of absence or temporary unavailability of the teacher.
• Record students' activities through videos and photos and send to the teacher on time.
• Participate in Academic Meetings, conferences and development workshops.
• Attend school events open to families.
• Follow RED HOUSE guidelines (Language Policy, Handbook, Assessment Policy).

Responsibilities and assignments

You must provide support to students who need to evolve in English, Portuguese, and Mathematics through individual or small group lessons outside the classroom setting, as well as support within the classroom when necessary, based on the Head Teacher's lesson plans and the Pedagogical Leadership guidance:

• Provide support to students who require close monitoring in the development and acquisition of English and Portuguese languages, and Mathematics, working with the Head Teacher and other Teaching Assistants to guide students in activities and maximize their learning.
• Participate in the implementation of didactic-pedagogical projects by the school.
• Substitute for Teaching Assistants in the classroom when necessary, providing support to Head Teachers in other activities.
• Be responsible for decorating walls, doors, tables, and bulletin boards in various areas around the school.
• Ensure safety, constantly staying with students, in any activity, observing, guiding and interfering when necessary, to avoid possible accidents. Keeping this stance comprehensively to all school students.
• Receive students at the entrance and exit of the school, following safety protocols and only to authorized individuals.
• Accompany students during meal times when necessary, ensuring that everyone eats well.
• Be responsible for managing the class in times of absence or temporary unavailability of the teacher.
• Record students' activities through videos and photos to track their progress towards individual goals established for each student, sending them to the teacher within the established deadline.
• Participate in Academic Meetings, educational conferences and development workshops in order to keep and improve professional competence.
• Attend school events open to families.
• Follow RED HOUSE general guidelines (Language Policy, Teachers' Handbook, Assessment Policy).

Requirements and qualifications

Education: Attending or graduated in Pedagogy

Experience:

• Experience in classroom context or English courses.
• Experience with Elementary Education.
