The Strategic Logistics Leader plays a critical role in driving efficiency, cost optimization, and resilience in the supply chain in ITO and OTR. Your responsibilities extend beyond daily operations to long-term strategy, innovation, and risk management. Responsibilities
  1. Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
    • Develop and execute logistics strategies that align with overall business goals.
    • Optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and digitalization to enhance supply chain performance.
  2. Supplier & Carrier Management
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key logistics providers to ensure service reliability and cost efficiency.
    • Develop dual‑source strategies to mitigate risks and enhance supply chain resilience.
    • Negotiate contracts and performance metrics (KPIs) to drive accountability.
  3. Cost & Efficiency Management
    • Drive cost‑out initiatives to improve EBITDA and working capital.
    • Reduce lead times and optimize freight spend through route optimization, modal shifts, and network design.
    • Implement Duty & Tariff strategies to maximize savings and compliance.
  4. Risk & Resilience Management
    • Identify and mitigate logistics risks, including geopolitical, economic, and natural disaster impacts.
    • Develop contingency plans for critical supply chain disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and ESG policies.
  5. Digital Transformation & Analytics
    • Leverage AI, IoT, and data analytics for real‑time visibility and predictive decision‑making.
    • Utilize KPIs and dashboards to monitor logistics performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  6. Cross‑functional Collaboration & Leadership
    • Work closely with procurement, operations, finance, and commercial teams to align logistics strategies with business priorities.
    • Benchmark high‑performing logistics teams.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  7. The Strategic Logistics Leader Will:
    • Ensure that for a given tender / project all internal units and external suppliers involved in the tender / project will be effectively managed in order to provide the best execution in terms of cost, quality and delivery.
    • Be responsible for ensuring that competitive transport quotations as well as firming, cost solidity and risks are documented and delivered to the tender manager based on the bid timeline in order to win orders.
    • Ensure that the costs delivered will allow the project to execute within budget or below budget.
    • Ensure proper schedule cycles are included in tenders for transportation to ensure successful execution of projects once awarded.
    • Develop project and logistics strategies to optimize total landed costs and transportation cycles.
    • Ensure complete robust Contracts and SOWs are put in place to mitigate risks, drive cost reductions and maintain cycle integrity.
    • Work closely with the project planning to establish proper schedules for delivery of materials / documentation.
    • Support the logistics providers claim processing working closely with contract management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
