Uber is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and ship user-facing features for high-traffic web properties that impact millions of users globally.
You will own technical design, collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Backend teams, and drive performance, code health, and scalable frontend systems. The role is hybrid and based in Brazil, with opportunities to mentor teammates and advance frontend excellence.
Please note: this hybrid position is based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – welcoming both local professionals and those open to relocating.
At Uber, Frontend Engineers build web experiences that power the way people move and receive things around the world. As part of our engineering team, you’ll work on large-scale applications that impact millions of users. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners (design, backend, data science, product).
Delivery: The Delivery team is focused on innovating and streamlining how products and services reach our customers. In this role, you'll contribute to building efficient and robust systems that support order processing, logistics, and real-time tracking. Your contributions will help optimize the end‑to‑end delivery experience, making it more reliable and seamless for both drivers and customers.
ADS: The Ads team builds and scales the advertising platform and its features that power sponsored experiences across Uber’s apps, connecting riders, eaters, and advertisers in relevant and measurable ways. The team owns end‑to‑end ad delivery (from ad creation, rendering, and experimentation to tracking, measurement, and performance optimization) across mobile and web surfaces. The work sits at the intersection of product, platform, and data, ensuring ads are high‑quality for users while driving impact for advertisers and Uber’s business.
Mobility (Rider Core): Millions of people depend on Uber’s web application to make ride reservations and get on‑demand Uber rides. The Rider Core Team at Uber is redefining what it means to Uber and expanding our products beyond on‑demand rides. In this role, you'll work with many distributed teams, ranging from designers, engineers, and data scientists, to provide market‑defining products and trip planning experiences over the web.
