What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Collaborate with various teams to support regional sales objectives and develop customized territory plans
- Conduct technical seminars and presentations on Illumina's Sequencing product lines and applications
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships as a trusted consultant
- Stay informed on industry trends, competition, and new product innovations to drive sales
- Participate in customer-facing events and lead workshops to promote product knowledge
What is Required (Qualifications)
- BA/BS or MS in Life/Biological Sciences or equivalent degree is required
- Customer-facing sales or support experience in Life Sciences or Genomics preferred
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in a dynamic work environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the territory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Ph.D. or Masters in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or related field is highly desired
- Experience in Next Generation Sequencing and multiomic applications
- Proven ability to quickly learn and maintain knowledge of sequencing applications and technologies
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a focus on team collaboration
