The role:

We are looking for experienced professionals, preferably with a background in banking or financial services, and/or experience building Know Your Customer (KYC) or Know Your Business (KYB) processes.

About the project:

We are embarking on a mission to build a cutting‑edge, direct‑to‑consumer digital investment platform for a leader in the financial services industry. The core challenge is to create a seamless and intuitive experience that captures and retains significant assets, particularly from individuals transitioning out of employer‑sponsored retirement plans and those seeking to invest their personal capital.

This is a ground‑up initiative to deliver a modern wealth management solution. You will be at the heart of a strategic, multi‑phased program that fundamentally transforms how our client engages with its customers.

The work:

The project involves architecting and developing a robust platform powered by a modern, API‑based infrastructure. We will integrate with a leading fintech partner to handle the core mechanics of account opening, funding, and trading, allowing our team to focus on building a superior, client‑facing experience.

Success requires more than just great code. You will join a dynamic, cross‑functional team of product managers, UX/UI designers, business strategists, and compliance experts. You will work in close collaboration to navigate complex financial regulations, translate intricate business requirements into elegant technical solutions, and solve challenging integration problems with our external partners. This role is ideal for a proactive problem‑solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building products that have a real‑world impact on people's financial futures.

Requirements:

• English proficiency: C1 or higher.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, with experience using modern frameworks such as NestJS, Express, or Fastify.
• Experience designing and implementing BFF (Backend for Frontend) layers, ensuring optimized communication between front‑end clients and backend microservices.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, including communication patterns such as REST and gRPC.
• Expertise in event‑driven architectures, leveraging tools like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Amazon SQS.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud‑based applications (AWS or Azure).
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implementation and automation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Advanced Git knowledge with collaborative branching strategies (Gitflow, pull requests, code reviews).
• Familiarity with observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Strong focus on testing (unit, integration, e2e) using Jest, Mocha, Supertest, or similar frameworks.
• Adoption of TDD/BDD principles and continuous code quality improvement.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven track record with high‑volume, low‑latency, and scalable distributed systems.
• Ability to refactor, optimize, and evolve codebases and architectures continuously.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and asynchronous processing patterns.

• Experience developing financial or investment web applications.
