Summary / Job Objective:
The Regional Product Manager for LLS is responsible for the profitability and growth of product platforms and additionally creates and implements the regional product line strategy through collaboration with the Global Product Managers organization.
This position also leads strategic projects for local manufacturing, technology transfer, implementation of regional open innovation, and acts as a liaison with commercial teams, supply chain, operations, master data, and strategic marketing to enable business growth for each product line, following regional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for current operations and new product launches.
- Develop the regional product line strategy aligned with the global business unit, market, technology, and product line strategies.
- Define product line positioning and pricing strategy.
- Manage the regional product portfolio and lifecycle to maximize growth and financial performance.
- Prepare annual product line forecasts and provide input to support global capacity planning.
- Ensure the product line project portfolio and innovation strategy are aligned and properly resourced.
- Develop competitive intelligence programs and corresponding counter strategies to maintain leadership in value, product, and pricing in the marketplace.
- Act as a product line champion, proactively communicating plans and programs, as well as global strategic changes and product discontinuations.
- Represent the business in operations to maximize service levels for internal and external customers.
Education, Languages, and Desired Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field: chemistry, engineering, biology, industrial pharmacy, or related areas.
- Strong commercial, strategic, and business acumen, demonstrated through exceptional financial results.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent financial skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good level of Spanish is preferred.
- Experience in the beauty, home care, or pharmaceutical markets.
