CI&T is seeking a Senior/Principal Data Architect to lead design and evolution of scalable, AI-ready data architectures for complex enterprise environments. You will translate business needs into robust technical architectures and guide engineering teams across Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI initiatives.

Key focus areas include Lakehouse/Cloud Data Platform patterns, Databricks and Snowflake, and AWS or Azure deployments, while ensuring security, governance, and scalability in global

Qualificações

• Advanced English – C1 or above, with strong communication skills in international environments.
• Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Databricks OR Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of AWS OR Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data platforms, data integration, data modeling, and data governance.
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and translating business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AI/Agentic approaches for Data, including AI Agents, Agentic Architecture, or Agentic Data solutions.
• Knowledge or practical experience with SDD (Specification-Driven Development).
• Strong architectural decision-making and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Act as a technical reference and architecture leader for Data Engineering and Analytics teams.
• Define architecture patterns, standards, best practices, and technology strategies for modern data platforms.
• Design and evolve Lakehouse/Cloud Data Platform architectures using modern technologies.
• Lead architecture initiatives involving Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Design and implement data solutions across AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Define data integration, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and consumption patterns.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics teams, Product Managers, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams and support architectural decision-making.
• Contribute to AI-ready data architectures including Agents and Agentic approaches for Data.
• Explore and apply Agentic AI patterns, AI Agents, and SDD in data engineering and architecture.
• Ensure decisions follow security, governance, quality, scalability, and maintainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures aligned with business and technology strategies
• Act as a technical reference and architecture leader for Data Engineering and Analytics teams
• Define architecture patterns, standards, best practices, and technology strategies for modern data platforms
• Design and evolve Lakehouse / Cloud Data Platform architectures using modern technologies
• Lead architecture initiatives involving Databricks and/or Snowflake

• Ensure architecture decisions follow enterprise standards for security, governance, quality, scalability, and maintainability

Required Qualifications

• Advanced English – C1 or above, with strong communication skills in international environments
• Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering, preferably in complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in Databricks OR Snowflake
• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS OR Azure
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data platforms, data integration, data modeling, and data governance
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and translating business requirements into technical architecture
• Strong knowledge of AI/Agentic approaches for Data, including AI Agents, Agentic Architecture, or Agentic Data solutions
• Knowledge or practical experience with SDD (Specification-Driven Development) and its application to software/data engineering
• Strong architectural decision-making and technical leadership skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with both Databricks and Snowflake
• Experience with both AWS and Azure
• Experience implementing LLM-powered solutions, AI Agents, or Agentic workflows
• Experience with frameworks and technologies related to Generative AI and Agentic AI
• Experience defining enterprise-level Data Governance, Security, and Data Quality strategies
• Experience working with global teams and international clients
