A financial services provider is seeking a Sr. Associate - Regulatory Compliance to oversee regulatory monitoring and compliance planning. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance within financial services or fintechs, strong knowledge of Bacen & CMN regulations, and excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English. This role offers the chance to have a significant impact on financial inclusion in Brazil while working in a diverse environment.

  • Strong understanding of Bacen & CMN regulations and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience contributing to Bacen authorization or licensing processes is highly valued.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor and interpret new laws, regulations, and regulatory trends issued by Bacen, CMN, CVM.
  • Conduct regulatory gap assessments of new products and business initiatives.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance policies and oversee periodic reviews.
  • Support regulatory engagements and contribute to regulatory authorization projects.

About the Role

The Sr. Associate - Regulatory Compliance is responsible for monitoring emerging regulations, regulatory changes, new product impact assessments, and ensuring timely compliance planning. This role partners with legal, product, risk, and operations teams to ensure products and processes meet regulatory expectations. Experience with Bacen authorization / regulatory licensing processes is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Monitoring & Interpretation

    Monitor and interpret new laws, regulations, and regulatory trends issued by Bacen, CMN, CVM, COAF, Receita Federal, and industry bodies (e.g., Febraban). Translate regulatory requirements into internal impact assessments and action plans.

    Prepare concise and executive-level regulatory briefings for senior management and group governance.

  2. Product Advisory & Gap Analysis

    Conduct regulatory gap assessments of new products, features, partnerships, and business initiatives. Provide Compliance advisory to Product and Business on regulatory obligations and risk mitigation for launches.

    Ensure regulatory requirements are embedded throughout the product lifecycle and documented in internal controls.

  3. Controls, Policies & Documentation

    Maintain regulatory compliance policies and oversee periodic review and alignment with local and group policies.

    Maintain the Regulatory Obligations Register and track compliance with requirements.

    Coordinate the internal compliance control testing plan and follow-up on remediation.

  4. Regulatory Relationships & Licensing Support

    Support regulatory engagements, preparation of materials, and responses to RFIs or supervisory communications.

    Contribute to regulatory authorization projects, leading regulatory assessments, documentation, and compliance readiness.

Bachelor's degree in law, Public Policy, Business, Economics, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Regulatory Compliance within financial services or fintechs.

Strong understanding of Bacen & CMN regulations and regulatory expectations.

Experience contributing to Bacen authorization or licensing processes is highly valued. Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory).
