Job summary

Baker Hughes in Mutum, Macaé, RJ is seeking a Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement to support Services procurement, rental tooling and maintenance requirements.

You will collaborate with Operations, Services, Maintenance and Finance, manage supplier relationships, issue POs, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement, fluent English, ERP experience and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field or significant sourcing experience with a high school diploma.
• Strong experience in Procurement, Buying or Sourcing roles with 5+ years.
• Experience managing suppliers and PO execution; ERP experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
• Manage supplier relationships and support day-to-day procurement activities.
• Resolve supplier performance issues, schedule changes and delivery challenges.
• Support supplier communication and negotiation activities as required.

• Act as procurement partner for Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Services and Finance.
• Communicate sourcing updates, risks and opportunities proactively.
• Support governance, documentation and compliance with procurement processes.

As a Sourcing Specialist – Buying & Procurement, you will support procurement and sourcing activities for our Services product line, helping ensure the availability of critical resources required to support operational execution.

In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Services, Maintenance, Logistics, Finance and Supplier partners, supporting the procurement of a broad range of services and materials including rental tooling, maintenance-related activities and operational support requirements.

You will play a key role in balancing commercial objectives, operational urgency and stakeholder expectations while ensuring compliance with company processes and sourcing strategies.

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Creating, issuing and following up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
• Managing supplier relationships and supporting day-to-day procurement activities.
• Resolving supplier performance issues, schedule changes and delivery challenges.
• Supporting supplier communication and negotiation activities when required.
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and ERP data.

Operational & Services Support

• Supporting sourcing activities for Services operations, including maintenance-related requirements, rental tooling and operational resources.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational priorities and sourcing needs.
• Providing sourcing support in fast-paced environments where requirements may change according to operational demands.
• Identifying alternative solutions and sourcing strategies when standard approaches are not sufficient.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Acting as a key procurement partner for internal stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Services and Finance.
• Building strong relationships with business partners to understand priorities and support decision-making.
• Communicating sourcing updates, risks and opportunities in a clear and proactive manner.
• Supporting alignment between operational requirements and procurement execution.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Identifying procurement risks and implementing mitigation plans when necessary.
• Supporting process improvements that increase efficiency, responsiveness and compliance.
• Challenging conventional approaches and proposing creative solutions to sourcing and supply chain challenges.
• Contributing to initiatives that improve sourcing performance and operational support.

Compliance & Process Excellence

• Ensuring procurement activities are executed in accordance with Baker Hughes policies and procedures.
• Supporting governance, documentation and sourcing compliance requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational discipline in procurement activities.
• Supporting reporting and performance tracking activities when required.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or a high school diploma/GED with significant relevant sourcing experience.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Buying or Sourcing roles.
• Have strong experience managing suppliers and purchase order execution.
• Have experience working in operationally demanding environments where flexibility and responsiveness are critical.
• Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Have experience working with ERP systems and procurement processes.
• Have fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
