Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly technical professional to join the Business Technology (BT) organization. A Solution Architect creates the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem. They design, describe, and validate the development of the solution. In many ways, this person builds the bridge between a business problem and the technology solution, and outlines each of the phases and requirements required to make that solution work.
Essential Functions
- Solution Design and Development: Design and guide the development of innovative, globally scalable, efficient and secure solutions such as financial, logistic or manufacturing applications within Bunge. Design, debug, and monitor performance of solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership to Agile teams and/or DevOps teams throughout the project lifecycle. Identifying the right technologies to use on various projects while considering their performance, price and service agreements.
- Documentation and Communication: Documenting and sharing knowledge on best practices for new solutions.
- Proof‑of‑Concept and Validation: Developing proof‑of‑concept projects to validate your proposed solutions. Bring a new and alternative perspective when reviewing and validating solutions designs from other team members.
- Strategy: Advise and support business technology leaders to understand, apply, monetize and operationalize existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform automation requirements into scalable and resilient solutions. Demonstrate thought leadership & influence beyond the scope of your own team and throughout Bunge.
Requirements: Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience required, computer science degree preferred.
- 11+ years of experience in developing large scale, global solutions and leveraging methodologies such Agile, Scrum and DevSecOps.
- 5+ years of experience required in a similar architectural position, having experience with frameworks like TOGAF ADM. Knowledge of a modeling language like ArchiMate is a pre.
- Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Familiarity with diverse range of both backend and frontend programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, SQL, TypeScript, React, CSS and HTML.
- Integrate cloud automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes. Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a pre.
- Ability to manage own work and coach and review the work of others.
- Strong teamwork skills, able to provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
- Demonstrated experience in analysis of alternatives and presenting to stakeholders for buy-in and consensus.
- Build partnerships, appropriately influence to gain commitment, foster talent and coach others to grow in current or future roles.
- A drive and willingness to keep learning Architecture, technologies and methodologies that are new in the market.
- Have a keen eye on details. Your solution designs must be well balanced between workable, pragmatic and future proof.

- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- English spoken at a level that allows discussions and engagement in advanced technical dialogue, is required.
- Second language of Spanish and/or Portuguese is considered a plus.
