Role description

The Software Platform Partner II will provide tactical advisory to ensure the business gets the best value from GIS applications, platforms, services, and location technology

Role accountabilities

• Provide technical and functional guidance for GIS platforms, applications, services, data and associated workflows.
• Provide consultancy support and share best practices across the global business teams.
• Represent Arcadis tech colleagues in meetings with vendor enterprise teams.
• Collaborate with Arcadis operational teams in adoption, pursuits and project delivery.
• Help administer, maintain and enable leverage project data within GIS CDEs (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online) including utilizing AI effectively.
• Ensure GIS platform knowledge management by creation and support of KBAs.
• Spread knowledge about and drive adoption of the best suited GIS applications and platforms for a given task.
• Strong soft skills, ability to prioritize, attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Accountable for other related tasks as assigned by the line manager.
• Support the resolution of escalations, feedback, and communications.
• Business partner with designated (sub)service(s).
• Collaborate with Arcadis enabling functions to ensure continuous compliance with Arcadis’ policies.
• Shared accountability for business stakeholder and vendor relationships.
• Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and best practices across other teams within the tower.
• Proactively engage with global business stakeholders, technical specialists, and project teams to understand business and client requirements and recommend appropriate GIS platform options, solutions, and best practices.
• Advise teams on GIS licence compliance, secure working practices, data governance and approved platform patterns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Good technical knowledge of GIS software platforms, applications and technology portfolios, with the ability to understand platform capabilities, integrations and business requirements.
• Strong technical knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS product suite, including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Experience using Python and SQL for automation, data querying, and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve technical and operational problems, applying logical, structured and methodical approaches to deliver effective and timely solutions when working from high level objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that improve platform performance and user experience.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors to support platform enhancements, issue resolution and the delivery of business requirements.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate successfully within global, cross functional and matrixed teams.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed service levels and project timelines.
• Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver small to medium sized projects or platform initiatives from inception through implementation and transition into operational support.
• Experience contributing to platform governance, documentation, knowledge management and operational best practices to improve service quality, consistency and efficiency.
• Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand business needs and deliver technology solutions that enhance operational performance and user satisfaction.
• Collaborative working style that promotes accountability, innovation and operational excellence, aligned with the Arcadis Leadership profile of being curious, driving success and igniting passion.
• Degree level education in GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications in project management, IT service management, cloud technologies or vendor specific software platforms are desirable.
• Experience working with APIs, including REST-based services, to integrate systems, automate processes, or extend GIS capabilities is desirable.
