About the Job

The Software Engineer will serve as a technical reference within the Engineering team, contributing both to the development of robust solutions and to the team’s overall technical growth. This role is part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, responsible for building and maintaining the products and services that make up the company’s data platform.

In addition to developing scalable applications and pipelines, the professional will actively participate in architectural decisions, definition of technical standards, and the promotion of best engineering practices. A strong technical leadership mindset is expected—supporting the team in solving complex problems, designing systems, and raising the overall quality of code and deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical reference for the team, supporting architectural decisions and guiding best development practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and highly available backend services and data pipelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote quality standards, and foster continuous technical learning within the team.
  • Participate in the design and evolution of the data platform architecture and its connected products.
  • Implement and optimize integrations between internal and external systems, focusing on security, scalability, and observability.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining version control processes, deployment automation, and continuous integration (CI/CD).
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to enable data-driven solutions.
  • Support the team in analyzing and resolving critical incidents, leading diagnostics and proposing sustainable solutions.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, ensuring technical alignment, scope clarity, and delivery feasibility.
  • Foster a strong, collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of prior experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, or Go).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of version control (Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Hands‑on experience with data pipeline and integration tools (Airflow, dbt, Glue, Dataflow, among others).
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience in data manipulation and analysis, focusing on data processing, visualization, and integration to support data products and systems.
  • Ability to work in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Skill in translating business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in Software Architecture, Big Data, or Data Engineering.
  • Experience as a Data Architect or Technical Lead in Data, Engineering, or Science projects, including defining complex data models and pipelines.
  • Experience with Data Mesh or other modern distributed data architectures.
  • Knowledge of containers and application orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Understanding of observability and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
  • Experience with data streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
  • Experience in data environments and analytics or artificial intelligence platforms will be considered a strong asset.
