CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician I to perform routine technical work supporting flight simulation devices and related systems. You will receive structured training while developing proficiency in maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and customer support.

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, you will participate in preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, document activities, and assist in simulator refurbishment projects.

Qualificações

  • Associate degree or equivalent in electronics/avionics.
  • 0–2 years in a technical role with electronics experience.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and maintenance documents.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment and basic repairs.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform routine technical tasks in labs, offices, plants, and customer sites.
  • Participate in training for simulator operations and maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and related systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve simulator issues.
  • Document activities in the maintenance system and complete training.
  • Support simulator refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Ensure adherence to CAE’s Quality Management System.
  • Provide timely customer service and assist logistics as needed.

Description

The Simulator Technician I performs routine technical work in support of flight simulation devices and associated systems. This role receives structured training while developing technical proficiency in simulator maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and customer support activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine technical tasks in laboratory, office, plant, field, or customer-site environments.
  • Participate in training programs covering simulator operations, maintenance, and technical support activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving simulator system issues.
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all required training assignments and qualifications.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight simulator checks on assigned devices.
  • Conduct basic visual alignments.
  • Execute automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests.
  • Support simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
  • Comply with CAE’s Quality Management System processes and procedures.
  • Provide timely customer service support and respond to customer requests.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance activities required to maintain simulator readiness.
  • Support logistics activities, including receipt of parts, repairs, testing, and validation.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required.
  • Provide operational support to the Technical Services team as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree (2-year technical diploma) in Electronics, Avionics, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years in a related technical field).
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and system schematics.
  • Proficiency using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with computer hardware and architecture.
  • Experience performing soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting simulation, aviation, avionics, electronics, or technical equipment environments.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Customer service experience in a technical support environment.
