BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Scala/Java) to join our global distributed data platform team. You will design and implement high-throughput, reliable data processing components and help scale streaming and batch pipelines in production.

You’ll work with open source technologies, collaborate with data and platform engineers, and optimize JVM performance under real-world conditions. Strong English communication is essential for our international teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 3+ years of experience with Scala or Java as a primary language.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data processing systems.
• Background in stream or batch processing infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of JVM performance fundamentals.
• Open source contribution experience is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Scala or Java skills and a solid grounding in distributed data processing. You’ve worked on systems where data moves reliably at scale — through streaming pipelines, batch jobs, or both — and you understand the JVM well enough to reason about performance when it counts.
