A leading video solutions provider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Back-End, to join their team in Brazil. This role involves developing and implementing solutions for the Latin America region. Responsibilities include bug fixes, feature development, and client interactions. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in software development, back-end frameworks, and great communication skills. A degree in a related field is required along with at least 5 years of experience.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of professional experiences developing applications in multiple platforms.
• Exposure to Agile, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development is a plus.
• Experience in Video and media based development projects is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Play a key role in bug fixes in production applications.
• Feature development, SDK updates, and code enhancement.
• Actively participate in customer discussions and testing support.

Expert knowledge of platform specific language, frameworks, and tools

Excellent knowledge of software development fundamentals

Expert with SCM systems (e.g., Git)

Strong experience integrating open source or 3rd party APIs

What we are looking for

Accedo is looking for a full-time permanent Senior Software Engineer, Back-End in the Global Service Management team based in Brazil to provide expert development and project implementation skills for the Latin America region. Your major responsibilities will include:

• You will play a key role in bug fixes in the production applications and verify resolution
• Feature development, SDK updates and code enhancement, refactoring, and review
• Actively participate in Customer discussions, requirements analysis and testing support.

Skills and Experience

• Expert knowledge of platform specific language, frameworks and tools
• Excellent knowledge of software development fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• Expert with at least one SCM system and related concepts, e.g. Git, Subversion, Bitbucket
• Strong experience integrating open source or 3rd party APIs and Libraries
• In-depth understanding of development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall), testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes
• Possess System or Solution architect experience for non-trivial projects with:
• Knowledge in the most common pitfalls and know how to properly design an application (server components)
• Good instincts around project planning and estimations
• Passion and the “get the job done” attitude to solve various problems
• Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written, fluency in additional language(s) would be hugely advantageous
• Excellent knowledge in Server-side scripting skills (Node.js, Express)
• Experience designing and building RESTful API services
• Experience in using cloud service providers (e.g.: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience in other tech stacks is also beneficial (Java, Ruby, PHP, etc.)
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline(s)
• At least 5 years of professional experiences developing applications in multiple platforms
• Experience in Video and media based development projects (DRM, OVPs, Advertising, Analytics)
• Strong experience and knowledge of Design and Architectural patterns and knows when to apply them
• Interested and eager to dive into new technology areas and immerse in topics relevant to the business
• Ability to mentor junior developer, technical support engineers and team members
• Exposure to Agile, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development is a plus
