Job summary

First Help Financial is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Brazil. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot), Python, and AWS, with a focus on scalable RESTful APIs.

You will work in hybrid mode at our São Paulo HQ, collaborate with a diverse team, and drive modern practices like SOLID and Clean Code. Bachelor's or Master's in CS and 5+ years of backend experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional back-end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python or any JVM-based language.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with both SQL/NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, OracleDB preferred).
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, RDS).
• Experience with AWS Kinesis Data Streams (KDS).
• Experience with testing tools like JUnit, unittest and mock tools like Mockito, MagicMock and so on.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skill
