Senior Plant Manager – Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier (Campinas Region)
A leading global Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking an accomplished Plant Manager to lead one of its most strategic manufacturing sites in the Campinas region. This is a mission‑critical operation supporting global OEMs, combining high production volumes, multi‑technology processes, and a strong culture of precision, safety, and quality.
This role requires a senior industrial leader capable of stabilizing operations, elevating performance, and steering a multi‑business‑unit plant through a broad transformation journey focused on excellence, people development, and world‑class manufacturing standards.
Key Challenges & Leadership Agenda
- Drive the operational turnaround of a complex, high‑demand site, strengthening consistency in quality, delivery and cost performance.
- Lead a broad cultural and performance evolution, elevating discipline, accountability, and technical rigor across all organizational levels.
- Embed and scale Operational Excellence programs (Lean, TPM, Quality Systems), ensuring sustainable routines and measurable long‑term impact.
- Develop and empower a large industrial workforce, building strong leadership pipelines and reinforcing a high‑performance culture.
- Modernize governance, processes and daily management systems to align the plant with global standards and customer expectations.
- Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration, accelerating decision‑making and elevating manufacturing maturity and reliability.
- Prepare the plant for the next stage of competitiveness, supporting growth, technology evolution, and improved productivity across units.
Ideal Profile
- At least 7–8 years of solid experience leading complex autoparts manufacturing operations, ideally as Plant Manager or in equivalent senior operational leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in the automotive and Tier 1 supplier environment, with mandatory background in the autoparts industry.
- Full P&L management experience of an entire plant/site, including ownership of budget, cost structure, operational performance, investment planning and financial governance.
- Proven track record in managing high‑complexity plants with multiple business units, diverse technologies, or high‑precision processes.
- Strong foundation in Lean, Kaizen, structured problem‑solving, and advanced management systems, with ability to embed operational discipline and operational excellence routines.
- Robust people leadership, capable of developing strong teams, creating followership, and mobilizing the organization through cultural and performance transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate global, matrixed environments and influence cross‑functional stakeholders at regional and global levels.
- A strategic thinker with hands‑on execution, able to balance long‑term transformation with day‑to‑day operational rigor.
