Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. You will build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs, integrate with Oracle databases, and employ JMS/Kafka for messaging in a hybrid work model in São Paulo, Brazil.

Requirements include 6+ years in Java, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), NoSQL familiarity, and strong English communication.

Qualificações

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and software development best practices.
• Advanced English communication skills.

About The Role

As a Senior Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications that support critical business operations. You will be a valued member of the technology team and work collaboratively with architects, business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional delivery teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

In This Role, You Will

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance scalable Microservices and RESTful APIs that support complex business processes.
• Integrate applications with Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and optimized SQL execution.
• Develop and support messaging solutions using JMS, Kafka, or similar event-driven technologies.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software through continuous improvement, code reviews, testing, and DevOps best practices.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience contributing to application architecture and technical strategy discussions.
