A leading tech solutions company is seeking an MS Purview Data Security Engineer for a full-time project-based role. You will implement and maintain Insider Risk Management policies, DLP policies, and analyze user requests related to Auto Labeling. The position is 100% remote with a duration of 2 months, and can be extended if needed. Candidates with 3-5+ years of experience in Microsoft compliance solutions are encouraged to apply.

Required Technical Skills

BS in Computer Science, Information Security or related field of study, or equivalent work experience

Candidate must have a strong background in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, or Microsoft Security & Compliance solutions in an enterprise environment for insider risk management.

3–5+ years of experience in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, or Microsoft Security & Compliance solutions.

Proven track record in data loss prevention (DLP), insider risk management, and information governance.

Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview (Insider Risk Management, DLP, Auto Labeling)

Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview components including :

Insider Risk Management : Policy creation, tuning, and lifecycle management.

DLP : Custom Sensitive Info Types, policy configuration, testing, and deployment.

Auto Labeling : Understanding of trainable classifiers, sensitivity labels, and label policies.

Reporting : Familiarity with Purview reporting tools, KQL queries, and Power BI integration.

Experience with policy implementation, testing, and maintenance in Microsoft 365 environments

• Familiarity with change management systems and processes.

Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks.

Experience using tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, or other change / request management systems.

Ability to analyze alerts and reporting data to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Proficient in analyzing misclassification issues and user requests related to auto labeling

Deep understanding of data classification, data governance, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft 365 Defender.

Primary Duties

• Implement new and updates to Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management policies
• Implement, test, and maintain Microsoft Purview DLP Sensitive Info Type custom classifiers
• Implement, test, and maintain Microsoft Purview DLP policies
• Perform analysis of user requests associated to Microsoft Purview Auto Labeling data misclassification classification
• Generate and maintain Auto labeling reporting
• Analyze Microsoft Purview DLP alerts to proactively identify opportunities for improvements
• Process change request within the change management system
• Escalate and work with Vendor on service-related issues and incidents
