AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Lead SDET to design regression automation and guide testing strategy across the full product release cycle. The role demands strong experience in UI/API/Performance testing and systems-based testing architectures.

You will work with PM, UX, and Engineering teams to maintain high quality, implement BDD with Gherkin, and collaborate with data science model testing. Remote and office options available for this hybrid role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software QA building with PM/UX/Engineering teams.
• 6+ years in automated testing: UI, API, and performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture (auth, platforms, infra).
• 3+ years testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; holistic quality mindset.
• Experience with Javascript and Typescript.
• Experience with Gherkin for BDD.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and escalate risks to quality.
• Collaborate with product to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback into testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations for accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

MUST HAVES

• 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role building alongside PM, UX, and Engineering Departments.
• 6+ years of experience in automated testing including UI, API, Performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture - Authentication, platforms, and infrastructure focus.
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience with programming languages such as Javascript and Typescript.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and escalation any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
