Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide testing strategy across the full product release cycle. You will lead QA efforts with PM, UX, and Engineering, driving high-quality software releases.

Remote-friendly with flexi on-site options, you’ll mentor teams, define testing standards, and ensure coverage across UI, API, and data science evals. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years automated testing in UI, API, Performance
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture
• 3+ years testing data science models and AI/ML evals
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Gherkin experience for BDD

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and escape any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

MUST HAVES

• 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role building alongside PM, UX, and Engineering Departments.
• 6+ years of experience in automated testing including UI, API, Performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture - Authentication, platforms, and infrastructure focus.
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
