Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power mission-critical applications. You will lead efforts in automation, cloud architecture, monitoring, and security, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and influence best practices across the engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
• Define and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• Oversee Linux system administration and configuration management with Chef or Ansible.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, AWS Pipelines, or Jenkins.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, PHP, Ruby, Go, or Node.js.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
• Manage containerization and orchestration with Docker, AWS ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Apply cloud security best practices (subnets, security groups, firewall rules, WAF, DNS, SSH).
• Support PCI compliance preparation and audits.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system reliability optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role with hands-on expertise with AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with Linux system administration and configuration management tools.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Solid programming/scripting skills in at least one of: Python, Bash, Go, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance (PCI, SOC2, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
