A leading market leader in demand planning is seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join their team in Angola. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and over 4 years of experience in demand planning for large organizations. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining demand forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creating data tools to communicate trends. The role requires proficiency in ERP systems and demand planning tools, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualificações

  • 4+ years of Demand Planning experience in a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
  • Prior FMCG experience will be a plus.

You will be joining a well-established market leader, large group with diversified businesses portfolio, reporting to the Demand Planning Manager and responsible for the following :

Key Accountabilities : Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for decision-makingAnalyze sales data and market trends to improve forecastingCollaborate with cross-functional teams on factors that impact demandMonitor sales and refine forecasts based on changing conditionsCommunicate forecast updates to supply planning teamsTake ownership and proactively address data quality issuesCreate, maintain, and manage visual data tools for leadership

Key Responsibilities : Review and analyze historical sales data to identify trends and patterns that can be used to improve accuracy of future forecastsCollaborate with sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather information on upcoming promotions, product launches, and other factors that may impact demandDevelop statistical models and algorithms to create accurate demand forecasts for different product typesContinuously monitor and track actual sales performance against forecast and make necessary adjustments to the forecast as neededCommunicate forecast recommendations and updates to stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadershipEnsure that any add / delete items are promptly updated in the system to avoid impacting forecast accuracyWork with IT and Analytics Data teams to ensure that demand data is available on time for extract and analysisValidate that sales forecast is pulled into the correct lineNotify the BI team to push data on time to ensure that reporting and analysis can be done in a timely mannerPublish LE (latest estimate) forecasts and other relevant reports to keep stakeholders informed of demand trends and performanceDevelop and maintain demand planning dashboard to provide real-time visibility into forecasting and demand planning metrics. As well as be able to generate reports and visualizations to communicate forecast accuracy, demand trends, and potential risks to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-makingMonitor forecast accuracy and identify areas of improvement to enhance the reliability and precision of demand planningProvide training and support to end-users on utilizing the demand planning dashboard, ensuring widespread adoption and utilization across the organization

  • Key Requirements : Willing and able to work in AngolaBachelor's Degree as a minimum in relevant field including Finance, Math or Engineering;
  • MBA and / or other professional qualifications are highly preferred4+ years of Demand Planning experience in a large organizationStrong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory / production planningProficiency in using demand planning and forecasting tools is necessary,Proficiency in using forecast accuracy KPIsStrong experience with ERP and demand planning systems (e.G., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Anaplan)Advanced Excel and data analysis skills;

experience with BI tools (e.G., Power BI, Tableau)Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and demand modelingSolid understanding of distribution networks, inventory management, and supply chain dynamicsFamiliarity with S&OP processes and cross-functional planningProficiency in analyzing large sets of data and using data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and insightPrior FMCG experience will be a plusAbility to influence the decision makersHighest standards of accuracy and precisionArticulate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly-driven and self-motivatedProven ability to work with ambiguity
