Jobtailor in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based data pipelines and analytics infrastructure. You will implement ingestion, transformation, and data modeling with modern tools, ensuring data quality, governance, and scalability.

The role focuses on cloud-based pipelines, SQL optimization, and exposure of data via BI and API platforms, with collaboration across data engineering and analytics teams.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with Snowflake (warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, Snowpipe, streams, tasks, optimizations).
• Advanced SQL skills (optimization, modeling, analysis).
• Experience with languages such as Python or Scala for pipelines and orchestration.
• Proven experience with ETL/ELT and data transformation tools, preferably dbt.
• Experience with cloud-based pipelines (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with data modeling (dimensional, relational, and data lakes).
• Experience with ingestion tools such as Embulk, Meltano, or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance data pipelines on Snowflake.
• Implement and optimize data models and structures on Snowflake for efficiency, governance, and security.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and integration using dbt, Snowpipe, Embulk, Meltano, or similar.
• Ensure data quality through testing, validations, and continuous pipeline monitoring.
• Optimize Snowflake warehouses, clustering, caching, micro-partitioning, and access control for performance.
• Support data architecture initiatives and evolution of the analytics platform.
• Implement monitoring and observability metrics and processes.
• Expose data to end users via Power BI, Azure API Apps, or other modern visualization platforms.
