Baires Dev is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to own the full BI lifecycle, building ETL/ELT pipelines in Python with Delta Lake and Py Spark, and delivering polished Power BI dashboards. You will design Star/Snowflake data models, implement semantic layers, and ensure KPI accuracy across the data pipeline from ingestion to reporting.

The role emphasizes strong SQL, DAX, and CI/CD practices, with a remote-first environment and opportunities for global impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT, including Delta Lake, Py Spark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
• Experience with data modeling, including Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Strong DAX skills, including complex measures, KPIs, and calculated columns.
• Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server or similar platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD for BI using Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions.
• Background building data quality and validation frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Senior BI Engineer at Baires Dev

In this role, you'll build ETL/ELT pipelines in Python that feed well-structured data models, powering the semantic layer behind meaningful business intelligence.
