Senior Backend Software Engineer – Coinbase | Remote (Brazil)

Job Description:

Join Coinbase’s Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team to build backend services that enhance customer service operations and KYC compliance processes at scale. You’ll be a key contributor in developing high-impact tools that streamline workflows, integrate with third-party SaaS platforms, and elevate the performance of Coinbase’s support agents globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable backend systems that power customer-facing features and internal agent tools.
• Lead implementation of third-party integrations and drive platform-level improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Security, and Data Engineering teams to deliver high-leverage outcomes.
• Support and mentor peers in backend architecture, deployment best practices, observability, and documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years in software engineering with strong backend and full-stack development experience.
• Proven track record integrating with third-party SaaS tools and delivering complex, scalable solutions.
• Deep understanding of React and component-based UI frameworks.
• Ability to work across time zones and thrive in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.

Nice to Haves: Python or Ruby, experience with SaaS platforms, familiarity with agent productivity and workflow automation tools.
