FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our remote talent network and work with U.S. clients on project-based development. You will collaborate daily with client teams, designers, and engineers to deliver robust backend services in Laravel/PHP and Go microservices.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, advanced English, and a four-year degree. You will drive CI/CD, performance tuning, and scalable architectures in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Experience with Laravel and PHP backends (monoliths).
• Experience rewriting monoliths into Go microservices.
• Ability to scale backend systems for high-traffic launches.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsabilités

• Integrate into our client teams and collaborate with designers and engineers daily.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain Laravel/PHP backends and Go microservices.
• Refactor monolithic logic into distributed Go services.
• Scale backend infrastructure to support high-traffic events.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum rituals and cross-functional collaboration.

The Opportunity

Join our talent network and connect with U.S. clients for flexible, project-based development work as a Senior Backend Engineer - Laravel & Go Microservices.

• You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Has developed, deployed, and maintained core monolithic backends using Laravel and PHP.
• Has extracted monolithic application logic and rewritten it into Go Microservices.
• Has scaled backend infrastructure to handle high-traffic product launches and high-concurrency user loads.
• Has executed on-call engineering rotation duties with strict acknowledgment SLAs (e.g., 15 minutes).
• Familiarity with building or supporting payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention pipelines is a nice to have.
• Previous exposure to frontend or mobile stacks such as Next.js or React Native is a nice to have.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow is a nice to have.
• Availability to work standard business hours aligned with the Pacific Time (PT) zone.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
• Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon.
• Ability to identify with the goals of FullStack's clients, and dedicate yourself to delivering on the commitments you and your team make to them.

• Cursor, Windsurf, or Google Antigravity.
