Job summary

REALM is a fintech in Brazil hiring backend engineers to scale a proven platform from 1 to 100+. You will own services end to end within a distributed team, building and evolving a live microservices platform.

You’ll work on Go backend services, design event-driven systems using Kafka, and use gRPC for service communication. Experience with Kubernetes/Docker and strong system design are required, with remote work from Latin America as an option.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering with a clearly backend‑focused career.
• Real production Go experience.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems at scale.
• Kafka or other event‑streaming experience.
• gRPC experience.
• Solid system design fundamentals.
• A track record of owning a major feature, service or migration end to end.
• Clear communicator who works well independently.
• Bonus: payments, banking or other high‑volume transactional systems.

The Role

They’re hiring backend engineers to take a proven platform from 1 to 100 and beyond. This is hands‑on backend and product engineering. You’d own services end to end inside a distributed team, not maintain a small corner of the system.
