Tether.io in Brazil is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to enhance and maintain backend components for their platform. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in JavaScript/Node.js and a solid understanding of microservices and security practices.

You will collaborate with various teams to translate requirements into effective architectures, improve existing services, and implement new solutions while ensuring the resilience and scalability of the technology stack.

About The Job

As a senior Backend Developer, you will be part of the team that works on the development and maintenance of the backend components of multiple services related to the platform.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures.
• Improve existing core backend services written in NodeJS.
• Implement new solutions that interact with different core services through RPC calls.
• Write complex database queries for compliance and financial purposes.
• Ensure resilience and scalability of backend services as the platform continues to grow.
• Apply security best practices to protect the safety of the user base.
