O trabalho é remoto e em tempo integral, de segunda a sexta, das 8h às 17h ET. Os requisitos incluem habilidade com AutoCAD, Bluebeam e comunicação em inglês, além de um bom entendimento de sistemas de baixa tensão. Qualificações

• 2–3+ anos de experiência em estimativa de sistemas de segurança ou design de baixa tensão.
• Capacidade comprovada de ler e interpretar desenhos de construção.
• Proficiente nas ferramentas AutoCAD e Bluebeam.

Responsabilidades

• Revisar desenhos técnicos e documentos de licitação.
• Desenhar sistemas de segurança integrados como CCTV e Controle de Acesso.
• Preparar estimativas detalhadas de custos e propostas.

Descrição da vaga: Are you a detail-driven professional with experience in security and low-voltage system design and estimating? UTS Group is expanding our technical team and we want to hear from you.

UTS Group is a leading North American security integration company serving clients across Canada and the U.S. We specialize in Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Door Hardware, Automatic Doors, and full low-voltage infrastructure. We are looking for a Security & Low-Voltage Designer / Estimator who can review drawings, analyze tenders, design system layouts, and prepare accurate cost estimates for complex projects.

This is a remote, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Position Overview

This hybrid role blends design and estimating. You will review construction drawings, bids, and tender packages, then translate them into complete design documents, material takeoffs, and competitive estimates. You’ll prepare layouts, risers, and technical specifications using AutoCAD and Bluebeam, while collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, door schedules, and tender documents
• Design integrated security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion, Intercom)
• Design low-voltage / data systems including structured cabling, network racks, and pathways
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), labour estimates, and detailed cost proposals
• Produce layouts, risers, and markups using AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Develop and submit accurate quotations and bid packages
• Collaborate with sales, PMs, and vendors to confirm pricing, timelines, and compatibility
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, drawings, and documentation
• Participate in handover meetings for awarded projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates and design standards

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in security system estimating or low-voltage design
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and tender documents
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
• Solid understanding of low-voltage systems, wiring methods, and structured cabling standards (TIA / EIA)
• Experience with quoting Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, Door Hardware, and related systems
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to work remotely with strong self-management and organization
• Experience with Zoho CRM / Books or similar platforms is an asset

Nice to Have

• Education in Engineering, Architecture, Technology, or related fields
• Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. security / building codes
• Experience preparing technical submittals or shop drawings
• French language proficiency
