Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO + Vertex Consultant to support finance and tax-related business processes within a complex SAP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP Finance modules and be comfortable working extensively with Vertex Tax Services and other non-SAP tax applications.

This role requires a proactive professional with excellent communication skills who can collaborate with business stakeholders, support financial operations, and contribute to tax compliance and integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain SAP FICO processes including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and related financial functions.
• Work closely with business users to analyze requirements and provide functional solutions.
• Support and troubleshoot Vertex Tax Engine and tax-related applications.
• Participate in configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Assist with SAP Finance process improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless integrations and compliance.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes.
• Prepare functional specifications and business documentation.
• Participate in issue resolution, root cause analysis, and production support.
• Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders on finance and tax-related initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP FICO experience.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• General Ledger (GL)
• Controlling (CO)
• Experience with SAP PLC/finance-related processes.
• Comfortable working extensively with Vertex Tax Services and non-SAP applications (approximately 60-70% of the role).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and self-driven approach.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of indirect tax, sales tax, VAT, or tax compliance processes.
