The Sales Operations Manager serves as the key link between the Sales, Winemaking, and Operations teams, ensuring that each wine program moves seamlessly from concept to bottling. This role partners directly with the President, who serves as the sales leader, to translate new business opportunities into actionable production plans, oversee timelines and deliverables, and maintain clear communication across departments. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of the wine industry with exceptional organizational and project management skills to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment at every stage of production.

Essential Functions
  • Partner directly with the President on all active and upcoming wine programs
  • Attend sales calls and translate new business opportunities into actionable production plans
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Winemaking, and Operations teams
  • Oversee timelines, approvals, and deliverables for new and existing wine programs
  • Manage inventory tracking, forecasting, and reporting for multiple SKUs
  • Maintain program documentation and ensure cross-departmental communication
  • Support with email, calendar, and coordination tasks as needed to keep projects on schedule
  • Participate in cross-training with production and logistics teams to gain full operational knowledge
  • Ability to take on ad hoc projects as directed by the President and leader of sales for various sales initiatives.
Additional Functions
  • Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report unsafe conditions or work practices.
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the wine industry (production, sales, or operations)

  • Proficiency in Excel, project management tools, and CRM systems

Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current, valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.
Physical Requirements
  • Light physical activity typical of administrative tasks.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for handling items and working with fingers.
  • May require lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Adequate vision (close and distant) and focus adjustment.
  • Sufficient hearing for phone and office-level communication.
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments with variable lighting, temperatures, and ventilation.
  • Exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals as part of production settings.
  • Moderate to high noise levels typical of machinery and equipment (PPE provided).
Schedule and Travel Requirements
  • Primarily a set weekday schedule, but may require occasional weekends, evenings, or seasonal overtime.
  • Minimal overnight travel; occasional travel by car or air may be required.
