Functions & Responsibilities
  • Collects and assesses data based on patient signs, symptoms, and history.
  • Provides healthcare advice to patients and family members seeking advice, utilizing the nursing process and triage protocols, and policies.
  • Develops a plan of care using information from the patient, family, and/or provider.
  • Completes required documentation assuring that it is reflective of patient needs.
  • Is knowledgeable about disease processes common to pediatrics.
  • Assists the Provider by assessing a patient’s needs and providing initial patient care, including, but not limited to administering medications, catheterization, administration of allergy shots, collection of laboratory specimens, and administration of vaccines.
  • Administers allergy testing, including intradermal, prick testing, and in-office food challenges.
  • Performs routine laboratory and diagnostic testing such as peak flow and spirometry. Provides asthma and allergy education to patients and families.
  • Assesses and evaluates psychosocial, environmental, and cultural factors that may impact patient care.
  • Completes work assignments within established time frames; adapts to changes in or additions to work assignments; reprioritizes as necessary.
  • Provides leadership to other team members, i.e., Medical Assistant, Front Office staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Managers, Director of Operations or Administrator.
Skills and background needed
  • Possess skills in grammar and spelling.
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task, while providing excellent communication skills and patient care.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and critical thinking skills and can prioritize job needs.
Education/certification requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN license in the state of Washington; current Health Care Provider level CPR certification; PALS certification preferred.
Schedule

Full-time position - 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, variable days per week. No nights, no weekends, and closed for major holidays.

Location

Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Federal Way. Must be willing to travel to all clinics.

Pay

$44.38-$66.08/hour. Salary commensurate with experience.
