Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for inside sales lead generation. The SDR sources sales leads that support and enhance ABS businesses. The SDR uses multiple methods of sourcing and partners with the various business development team members and leaders to accomplish broader goals. The SDR provides input to marketing and operations on go-to market plans, improving customer interaction/satisfaction, expanding to new markets, and improving financial performance.

What You Will Do
  • Contact prospective customers to introduce products and services, explain product features, and schedule client meetings for Account Managers (AM).
  • Select appropriate AM to recommend products and services to customers based on customers’ needs and interests.
  • Convince others to buy products and services or to otherwise change their minds or actions.
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, social media, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Observe, receive, research, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
What You Will Need
Education and Experience
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferred.

  • Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.

Reports to a manager-level position or above and has no direct reports.
