Frontall USA is seeking a database engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable database systems in Curitiba, Brazil. You will work with development and analytics teams to ensure high-quality data management and architecture, focusing on ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrity.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with MySQL/MariaDB, and knowledge of on-premise performance. You will collaborate across teams to enable accurate data access and drive data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and database scripts.
• Execute schema updates, optimize indexing, and validate data integrity.

• Collaborate with development and analytics teams to ensure seamless data accessibility and accuracy.
• Contribute to the architecture of Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Lead standardization initiatives and enforce best practices in database design and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• English Advanced or Fluent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in database engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and MariaDB.In-depth understanding of on-premise server performance and database optimization.
• Ability to evaluate and improve database resource consumption and space utilization.
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and third-party integrations (e.g., Shopify, Recharge).
