Qualificações

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Specialist to work in the Engineering Department on multidisciplinary projects, supporting the Project Coordinator in the development and execution of industrial projects especially in the areas of mechanics, piping, static and rotating equipment, and Paper Machine equipment. This professional will have strong interfaces with Maintenance, Utilities, Process, and Operations teams, being responsible for the technical leadership of capital projects, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery within schedule and budget, while contributing to the transformation of the department and the implementation of engineering best practices across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Work on multidisciplinary projects applying PMBOK best practices and using the FEL methodology;
  • Ensure project deadlines, costs, and scope are met and aligned with plant expectations;
  • Develop and review engineering documents: design reports, data sheets, specifications, technical scopes, material lists, RFQs, P&IDs, and other technical documents;
  • Prepare and validate designs for industrial equipment, Paper Machine technologies, industrial piping, pressure vessels, and mechanical devices in general;
  • Monitor suppliers and contractors, ensuring technical compliance, safety, and quality;
  • Provide direct support to the CAPEX Project Coordinator in managing schedule, cost, risk, and project governance;
  • Technically lead studies, analyses, and improvements in industrial equipment and processes;
  • Define solutions involving materials, corrosion, hydraulics, energy, utilities, and chemical processes;
  • Perform critical analyses of technical proposals and conduct technical equalizations;
  • Support inspections (FAT/SAT), safety audits, and field validations;
  • Strongly promote the process safety culture, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and global best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields;
  • Experience in the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, or Energy industries;
  • Experience in large-scale projects, such as plant expansions, general shutdowns, etc.;
  • Knowledge of project management and governance methodologies: PMBOK, FEL, and CAPEX.
Other Requirements
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D, MS Project, advanced Excel, and Power BI;
  • Strong expertise in industrial piping, material specification and sizing, pumping systems, hydraulics, process systems, static and rotating equipment, and team coordination.
