What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to maximize patient access to products
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) and Closed Door Pharmacies (CDPs) to support marketed products
- Conduct vetting activities to maintain the integrity of the pharmacy distribution network
- Train HCPs on payer‑specific coverage policies and patient financial assistance programs
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales and market access teams to address patient access issues
What is Required (Qualifications)
- BS/BA degree in a related field AND 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, including 2+ years in specialty pharmacy/market access
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, and pharmacy benefit managers
- Excellent knowledge of patient support programs and the prescription adjudication process
- Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60%
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred with 4+ years of related experience
- Previous experience in sales, management, or marketing within the pharma/biotech industry
- Familiarity with current issues in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system
- Leadership skills and ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
