Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Purpose: The DELIVER organization at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is committed to delivering outstanding customer experience by leading critical functions such as warehouse, distribution, transportation and customer service, across a diverse and expansive network. We are searching for the best talent for Regional Engineering Supervisor to be in São Jose dos Campos (primary location), Mexico City or Bogota, to join our Strategic Office department, a team dedicated to building future-ready capabilities in Warehouse and Transportation operations across LATAM.

Position Summary The Engineering Supervisor will lead the identification, design, evaluation, and implementation of innovative technologies and engineering solutions across LATAM Warehouse & Transportation operations. This role combines deep logistics expertise with strong technical and leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence, automation, digital transformation, process optimization, and next-generation supply chain capabilities. The ideal candidate is a logistics engineering professional with extensive experience across inbound, inventory management, warehouse operations, outbound distribution, transportation, ERP platforms, and supply chain systems. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to operations, technology, and external suppliers to continuously identify and implement best-in-class solutions that improve service, productivity, compliance, scalability, and cost performance. The role will also lead a team of professionals and work closely with distribution centers, 3PL partners, technology providers, and business stakeholders across LATAM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert across end-to-end logistics processes, including inbound operations, warehouse management, inventory control, order fulfillment, outbound distribution, transportation operations, returns, and reverse logistics.
  • Lead engineering studies, process redesign initiatives, warehouse optimization projects, and network improvement programs.
  • Support distribution center expansions, layout redesigns, material-flow improvements, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, Digital, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and external suppliers to design and deploy innovative solutions.
  • Drive the implementation and optimization of ERP platforms, including SAP, as well as WMS, TMS, WCS, control towers, IoT, digital twins, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Ensure technology investments align with business strategy and deliver measurable business value.
  • Continuously monitor logistics industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, converting external insights into relevant opportunities for LATAM operations.
  • Identify, assess, and implement technologies such as autonomous mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic picking, vision systems, autonomous inventory counting, automated packing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, RPA, and smart warehousing solutions.
  • Build relationships with technology providers, startups, universities, integrators, and industry partners to accelerate innovation and capability building.
  • Lead proof-of-concept assessments, feasibility studies, business cases, pilots, implementation plans, adoption strategies, and benefits tracking.
  • Lead multidisciplinary initiatives involving systems, process, industrial, civil, facilities, automation, robotics, and infrastructure engineering.
  • Manage project scope, resources, budgets, timelines, risks, change control, and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop capital investment proposals and business cases, including technical options, cost-benefit analysis, operational impact, implementation risks, and expected value.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, setting clear objectives and creating opportunities for technical and leadership growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, inclusion, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.
  • Build technical capabilities within the team and promote knowledge sharing across LATAM.
  • Support succession planning, talent development, and retention of critical engineering and logistics knowledge.
Required Qualifications

Education • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience • Extensive experience in logistics, distribution, warehouse operations, supply chain engineering, automation, or related environments. • Proven experience leading people and multidisciplinary projects. • Experience with ERP and logistics execution systems • Strong project management experience, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, resource coordination, and successful delivery of technology, automation, engineering, or operational improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience implementing automation, robotics, material-handling, or smart warehouse solutions. • Experience leading digital transformation and process modernization programs. • Experience managing projects across multiple countries and cultures. • Knowledge of AI, advanced analytics, and digital-twin applications in supply chain. • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Languages • Portuguese, English and Spanish proficiency is a requirement • Availability for occasional travel (up to 20%) across LATAM locations to support strategic program deployment and governance activities.
