What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Perform coding quality reviews and manage coding quality performance to ensure compliance with standards
  • Schedule Coders, DNFC Specialists, Leads, and Coding Coordinators to meet productivity metrics
  • Mentor Corporate Coding Supervisors or Leads and provide coding education and training
  • Attend facility DNFC/B meetings and report on DNFC performance to leadership
  • Ensure coding team maintains high standards for coding quality and productivity
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related healthcare field
  • Minimum of four years of inpatient coding experience
  • One year of coding leadership experienceRHIT and/or CCS credential
  • Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding principles and regulatory requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or a related healthcare field
  • Five or more years of inpatient coding experience
  • Five or more years of experience leading large coding teams in a complex health system
  • RHIA credential
