What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Process all referral requests to outpatient centers, specialist offices, or outside services needed
- Serve as a liaison for patient resources and work closely with insurance companies
- Expedite patient referrals to specialty offices and manage the authorization process
- Maintain ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals to ensure patient safety
- Communicate and coordinate referral appointments with outside specialists
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum 1+ years of progressive work experience in the healthcare industry
- At least 2+ years of customer service experience
- Experience managing referrals and authorizations
- Proficiency in documenting in electronic medical records
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in value‑based care operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Hospitality preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred
