What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Process all referral requests to outpatient centers, specialist offices, or outside services needed
  • Serve as a liaison for patient resources and work closely with insurance companies
  • Expedite patient referrals to specialty offices and manage the authorization process
  • Maintain ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals to ensure patient safety
  • Communicate and coordinate referral appointments with outside specialists
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum 1+ years of progressive work experience in the healthcare industry
  • At least 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience managing referrals and authorizations
  • Proficiency in documenting in electronic medical records
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
