About the role

As a Quality Control Executive at All Kurma Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality across our manufacturing operations in Juru, Penang. This full-time position will have you collaborating closely with our production teams to implement robust quality control processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

Ensure that the production and control operations are clearly specified and Good Manufacturing Practice adopted.

To perform quality checking on incoming materials and finished products.

To ensure proper records and documentation on quality controls.

To ensure that the standard operating procedures, work instruction and other food safety documents are being updated and reviewed periodically.

To prepare, review and update regularly on the specification for finished product.

To liaise with the government officers which include Halal, Jakim, Ministry of Health Department, and to integrate within the Food Safety management system.

To carry out investigation whenever there's any product recall or complaint (in-house or from the market).

Implement and enforce all the standard procedure relating to production, food safety and quality by liaising with other departmental heads, managers, supervisors, or leads to ensure every department does its assigned tasks to fulfill the HACCP/GMP records.

Organize training plan related to Food Safety for all team members to comply with Ministry of Health requirements or Food Safety Management System requirements. The coordination is to be done with other departmental supervisor, managers, or leads where applicable.

Check and confirm packaging designs to ensure that All Kurma complies with the latest government requirements.

Liaise with external consultant to complete and comply with the requirements related to Quality Assurance.

What we're looking for

Minimum of Diploma/Bachelor's Degree Halal Industry Management/Halal Food Management/Halal Quality Assurance/Food Technology/Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.

Preferably has experience in HACCP, GMP & HALAL practice.

Excellent problem-solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think critically and propose practical solutions.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
