AgileEngine is seeking a Python Backend Developer to build and extend the backend of an internal developer portal and dashboard, using AI coding tools in daily work.

The role requires 4+ years of Python backend experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask, plus expertise in AI tooling, Git/CI‑CD, and database integrations (Snowflake, SQL, NoSQL). Hybrid work options available across Brazil.

• Python expertise: strong hands-on backend development experience of at least 4 years using Python and standard web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• AI tooling: experience using AI coding assistants in daily development workflows.
• Version control & CI/CD: proficiency with Git, including branch management, pull requests, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Linux/Unix fundamentals: user-level proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line navigation, shell scripting basics, and environment manipulation.
• Database integration: experience with Snowflake, relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• API Design: solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and integration.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to build and extend the backend of an internal developer portal and dashboard, using AI coding tools in daily work.

MUST HAVES

• Python Expertise: Strong hands-on backend development experience of at least 4 years using Python and standard web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• AI Tooling: Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants in daily development workflows.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency with Git, including branch management, pull requests, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Linux/Unix Fundamentals: User-level proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line navigation, shell scripting basics, and environment manipulation (no administrative/sysadmin duties required).
• Database Integration: Experience working with diverse databases, including Snowflake, relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• API Design: Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and integration.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with modern frontend development (TypeScript or modern component-based frameworks like React/Vue) for cross-stack collaboration.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
