Job summary

Bluelight Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive software development initiatives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will oversee multi-workstream projects, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high quality and clear communication with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration with diverse teams, adherence to best practices, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for clients and executives across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed deadlines with critical-path management.
• Experience managing client dependencies and escalation paths.
• Experience with risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience coordinating multi-workstream projects and vendor dependencies.
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance and client-facing status reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.
• Experience overseeing large, complex systems and distributed teams.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines (e.g., product launches, trade shows) with critical-path and buffer management
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines)
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
• Ability to overlap US business hours
