Join our innovative, global team using technology to transform the way the social sector engages with data. We run on passion, blending diverse skill sets and experiences with a collective mission to help social impact organizations tackle challenges and achieve greater impact globally. We’re a self-motivated, creative group that encourages all staff to push their own boundaries and drive the company in exciting new directions. As a social enterprise and certified B Corporation, we reinvest a majority of our profits in our growth and continued pursuit of our mission and vision.

Position Overview

Project Managers at Vera play a central role in delivering impactful, tech-driven solutions to social impact organizations. They lead consulting project teams, manage client relationships and ensure high-quality outcomes from the sales handoff through delivery and beyond. Project Managers are responsible for developing and executing clear project plans, managing budgets and timelines and steering the overall strategy for each client engagement.

This is a fast-paced consulting environment where priorities can shift quickly, and managing multiple projects at once is the norm. Project Managers must be highly organized, adaptable and confident in switching between tasks, clients and teams – without losing sight of the bigger picture. We are looking for someone who brings structure to complexity – highly organised, commercially aware, a confident communicator, and genuinely invested in the mission of the organisations we serve.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery: Serve as the designated Project Manager on client projects, taking full ownership of planning and execution. Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, scope and risks – keeping everything up to date and ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.

  • Protect Vera’s commercial and delivery interests: Understand the commercial parameters of each engagement. Identify and elevate scope, budget and delivery risks early. Recognise opportunities for follow-on work and flag these to the relevant stakeholders. Ensure Vera’s interests – and those of our clients – are protected throughout. Manage resourcing across multiple projects to meet utilization and delivery goals.

  • Communicate with professionalism and clarity: Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining trust through clear, confident and proactive communication. Manage difficult conversations with composure and lead stakeholders to productive outcomes. Represent Vera professionally in all interactions – written, verbal and visual – internally and externally.

  • Ensure quality and client satisfaction: Oversee the work of project teams to deliver high-quality outputs. Support smooth transitions at key project milestones, from sales handoff through to post-delivery collaboration with Managed Services and Customer Success Managers.

  • Lead and coordinate project teams: Coordinate and direct the work of project team members on your engagements – including consultants, solution architects and other specialists. Ensure team members are clear on their responsibilities, have what they need to do their best work, and that workloads are balanced across their projects.

  • Facilitate collaboration: Lead internal and external meetings with purpose – including kickoffs, planning sessions, sprint reviews and regular check-ins with Vera teams and client stakeholders. Create meeting structures that drive clarity, decisions and momentum.

  • Contribute to growth and learning: Actively contribute to the PM collective – sharing learnings, contributing to PMO initiatives, and helping to build a stronger practice. Stay current with tools, technologies and delivery methodologies that can enhance our work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree – what you studied isn’t critical; what you’re passionate about is

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including managing end-to-end delivery of projects in a client-facing environment, and working in consulting, professional services or a similarly fast-paced setting with shifting priorities

  • Demonstrated experience managing timelines, budgets, scope and risks, leading cross-functional teams, and using project management tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese), with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues, manage difficult conversations, and lead senior client stakeholders to effective outcomes

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and tasks simultaneously

  • Strong in stakeholder communication, relationship building, and teamwork

  • Analytical and problem solving skills, strong aptitude for technology and data, and demonstrated interest in social sector work

  • Formal project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, PMI-ACP, or Scrum certification)

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM and data management platforms

  • Experience using AI tools to enhance project delivery – for example, in meeting summaries, status reporting, risk tracking or client communications

  • Prior experience in the social impact, nonprofit, international development or humanitarian sectors

  • Working knowledge of system design, databases or tech for good solutions

  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches)

  • Experience managing or mentoring team members, and experience working in a globally distributed team
