A global migration organization based in São Paulo is seeking a Project Assistant to support project management activities. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate economic integration of migrants, preparing reports, and conducting outreach activities. A BA in related fields such as Education or Administration is required, with relevant professional experience considered. Strong communication skills and proficiency in IOM's official languages are necessary. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to important migration initiatives.

For the purposes of this vacancy, internal candidates will be considered as First-Tier Candidates and will be given preference over Second-Tier candidates.
Internal candidates are defined as staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded or ungraded contract, including Junior Professional Officers (JPOs), staff on Special Leave Without Pay (SLWOP), and staff members on secondment / loan released by the Organization, unless otherwise specified in their contract.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes, and the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Assistant will provide project management support to the Economic Integration Unit.
Academic BA in Education, Administration, Social Sciences, Social Services, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
Relevant professional experience can be considered in lieu of academic requirements.
Experience implementing and monitoring social and economic integration projects in partnership with government, civil society, UN, or private sector actors; Ability to establish and maintain strong working relations with relevant government counterparts, civil society, international organizations, and private sector entities; Relevant field experience related to migration, refugee, and statelessness population.
IOM's official languages are English, French, and Spanish. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
