Success in this role requires strong content strategy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with busy subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate information into impactful messaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an efficient and scalable communications framework, including intake, review, and distribution processes.
  • Develop and manage a communications calendar aligned to program milestones and change impacts.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies to promote the HIGLAS Hosting, Operations and Maintenance (HOM) Program's goals and initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact for all communications needs across the program.
  • Handle all program-level communications through the Granicus govDelivery platform and other channels, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
  • Produce succinct, high‑quality communications that are accurate, polished, and free of errors such as newsletters, communication plans, stakeholder analysis, system down‑time templates, and infographics to engage various stakeholders.
  • Engage efficiently with busy stakeholders (e.g., executives, technical leads, SMEs) to extract key information and turn it into clear messaging with minimal disruption to their time.
  • Lead/support delivery of communications across multiple channels — including email, intranet, newsletters, town halls, and FAQs.
  • Respond to ad hoc or urgent communications needs, sometimes during off‑hours, with professionalism and speed.
  • Coordinate with SMEs, change managers, and technical teams to ensure messaging is complete and aligned.

Occasional / Recurring Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize the use of the Granicus govDelivery platform for effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for detail and clarity.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and manage streamlined communications processes in a complex environment.
  • Comfortable managing both planned communications and last‑minute, high‑priority messaging.
  • Ability to translate complex technical, policy‑heavy or sensitive content into clear, plain, accessible and audience‑appropriate language.
  • Proficiency with Granicus govDelivery platform and/or other communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with analytics tools to measure communication impact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using the ServiceNow platform to intake and manage communication requests.
  • Experience supporting communications in large‑scale, cross‑functional programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, and survey tools like MS Forms or SurveyMonkey.
  • Understanding of change communications and best practices in stakeholder engagement.
